Dallas-based artist Tina Ngo transforms automotive detailing tape into striking works that explore movement, perspective, and the power of line. Inspired by her Vietnamese American heritage and the visual language of street car culture, she elevates an everyday tape into a fine art medium. Her practice centers on the idea of "creating your own lines"—embracing the choices that shape identity, direction, and possibility. Every strip of tape becomes a deliberate mark, balancing precision with spontaneity. From up close, intricate layers and from afar, those individual pieces merge into bold compositions that reveal an emerging structure.
